Summary

This position focuses on designing and building in-person and e-learning experiences related to our leadership solution areas: Advancing Women Leaders, Purposeful Leadership and Inclusive Leadership.

The Learning Designer partners with key stakeholders including contractors, Learning Architects and other internal resources. The role of the designer is to take the vision of the architect and build out the details of the program, for both in-person learning and e-learning experiences. The Learning Designer will play an important role on the product team and interface with other functions of the business to assist with the following:

Responsibilities

Learning Design Responsibilities:

  • Develop microlearning for adult learners with teams of subject matter experts, developers and external contractors for both in-person and virtual learning.

  • Build and implement content into Linkage’s LMS

  • Create real-life business scenarios and scripts for video production.

  • Create course materials including PPT slides, participant guides, workbooks, activity handouts and virtual classrooms.

· Attend pilot deliveries of new or redesigned programs to observe and provide feedback on the learner experience.

  • Handle administration and product upkeep for the digital platform.

  • Ensure consistency across all products and materials when implementing updates and revisions.

  • QA product builds on the digital platform

Collaboration and Research:

  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, subject matters experts to plan, design and develop innovative, interactive digital learning content usingadult learning principles.

  • Research and apply new learning technologies as they become available.

  • Provide project management for the overall development and delivery of online and blended design projects.

  • Coordinate project team members, timelines, and processes to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Investigate and leverage emerging new technologies to modernize our product offerings, such as AI capabilities and updating those ideas to the team.

  • Provide detailed course feedback in peer review sessions for all developed courses and assessments.

  • Other duties assigned.

Education & Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a professional environment, preferably in learning design and delivery, consulting, education, client services, or program management.

  • Excellent time management/prioritization skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Commitment to continuous process improvement and innovation

  • Comfort with ambiguity and change; ability to make quick adjustments to meet team and business needs.

  • Demonstrated maturity and poise under pressure.

  • Familiarity working with LMS/LXP platforms in an administrative capacity.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience creating e-learning in an authoring tool such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline or Rise, etc.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

  • May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry and move light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information.

  • Light lifting is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects.

Work environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • The expected travel 0-10% of the time.

The hiring range for this position is $83,000 to $108,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
