Senior Digital Analytics Analyst

The Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics is responsible for providing the strategic and technical direction for digital product data, translating this information into actionable insights and recommendations for the business. Working closely with marketing, product and content stakeholders, this position helps set and execute the roadmap that identifies and integrates analytics tools and delivers impactful and actionable digital product metrics that track customer usage, engagement and purchase behaviors.
YOUR TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Using various SHRM data sources and systems to produce and maintain regular dashboards and reports on product traffic, engagement and outcomes, including marketing conversions and ecommerce revenue. Performing ad-hoc analyses per department requests. Providing strategic insights that define and analyze current web analytics Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and develop new metrics and recommendations based on fact-based customer centric data points.
Providing technical direction for customer analytics, testing scenarios and search engine optimization. Working with developers to identify and close data capture gaps, including clickstream.
Defining tracking requirements and implement tags for all SHRM online content and digital features as needed. Overseeing outside contractor support who assists in this area
Training staff on using web measurement and data warehouse tools and provide guidance on metric(s) to utilize.
Providing administrative support for web measurement tools. This includes but is not limited to providing access, creating views, creating custom reports, setting up event tracking/custom variables, setting up ecommerce funnels and setting up goals.
Overseeing upgrades to current web or app measurement tools, and provide insights/recommendations into new tools and/or methodologies for capturing, measuring and reporting product traffic.
THESE ARE THE SKILLS YOU WILL NEED IN YOUR TOOLBOX:
Advanced Excel skills including expertise in pivot tables, statistical functions, interactive charts and macros.
Advanced skills tagging and tracking web pages and features, ecommerce checkout areas, cross domain and sub-domains, and calls-to-action and funnels.
Excellent analytic, quantitative and problem-solving abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong collaborator, with ability to build cross-functional relationships.
LET US KNOW IF YOU ALSO HAVE:
Working knowledge of statistics (descriptive) and sampling methodology (exposure to predictive analytics).
Working knowledge of Tableau and data visualization methodologies.
Experience with Optimizely, Google Website Optimizer.
Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and paid search; familiarity with web design principles.
Understanding of and interest in both current and emerging data analytics tools.
THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE TABLE:
Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics
5 years experience in an equivalent or similar role, such as web development or business intelligence.
Experience writing basic SQL scripts and working in a data warehouse environment with large data sets.

- Experience with Google Analytics Premium/360, experience analyzing data from ecommerce and marketing automation systems
