SHRM Senior Creative Producer in Alexandria, Virginia

Overview

The Publishing & Media unit produces award-winning print and online content, information services and collateral that informs, educates, and engages the professional development and knowledge-base of members, as well as Human Resource and business professionals worldwide who follow and care about issues important to human capital management.

The Senior Creative Producer is responsible for managing the process of bringing creative executions to life. You will work closely with art directors, designers, and copywriters across multiple integrated SHRM teams of account managers, planners, researchers, analysts, and strategists. You will help define and monitor scopes, budgets, milestones, timelines, and deliverables. You have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication skills, and are a tenacious problem solver.

Responsibilities

Your Day:

  • Manage and oversee the creative team’s day-to-day project workloads and workflows.

  • Work with Creative Managers to plan and allocate creative resources.

  • Manage communication and approvals between creative and client teams and prioritizing workloads.

  • Work directly with cross-functional SHRM teams to understand project requests, define objectives, gather requirements, and map timelines into clearly defined project plans.

  • Monitor and track projects, produce and distribute status tracking reports, and provide proactive recommendations to ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget.

  • Work as a liaison between all creative team members to develop effective and efficient processes that result in high-quality deliverables.

  • Manage and oversee multiple creative project executions and deliverables working directly with integrated creative teams to ensure projects are delivered on time andon budget.

  • Support creative and video team members in production hiring, scheduling and budgeting on online, digital, print, video, broadcast, out-of-home, and experiential project executions.

  • Manage day-to-day challenges, communicate effectively in a deadline driven environment, and understand when to escalate issues.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or another related field.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience including brand/mass marketing, advertising, production, project/program management.

  • A minimum of 6+ years of creative project management experience within a communication, marketing or advertising agency setting.

  • Experience managing multiple creative projects simultaneously with a “can do” attitude and ability to pivot quickly as client needs demand.

  • Experience creating experiential and non-traditional creative executions as well as traditional print, video, digital, broadcast, and design production schedules from concept to delivery.

  • Successful management of creative production ensuring teams provide high-quality and cost-effective deliverables that meet client brand standards.

  • Proficiency in file and asset management in a shared server environment with a strong understanding of required asset type by final deliverable (online, digital, print,video, etc.).

  • Full understanding of the abilities and limitations of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Premiere).

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Extremely detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office.

  • Experience managing and developing relationships with third party vendor relationships around print, media, photography, and video vendors.

  • Previous experience with web-based projects in an interactive agency environment is a plus.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry and move light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Light lifting is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects.
