SUMMARY
SHRM’s paid internship program enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through a variety of tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team specific projects, tasks, and participate in professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers. The Brand Management Intern will assist in the day-to-day tasks related to SHRM brand compliance, awareness and activation projects.
This is a fall internship that can last up to 8 weeks.
This is a paid internship at a starting rate of $20.00/Hour.
Responsibilities:
Assist with digital asset management and cataloging
Assist with Campaign in a Box management to support volunteer leaders marketing needs and explore ways to better connect with them
Audit SHRM webpages for brand compliance
Create an active library of SHRM dual-member chapter logos
Support team in development of SHRM booth at specialty conferences
Carry out division-specific tasks/activities as assigned by the supervisor throughout the duration of the internship
Manage deliverables and provide regular updates
Education & Experience Requirements
Preferred fields of study: pursuing a bachelor’s in business administration, marketing, or other related fields
0-3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Baseline understanding of the marketing funnel and process, and what it means to have a strong brand
Ability to quickly adapt or learn new technology
Ability to simultaneously work and navigate within multiple programs
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High levels of commitment and initiative
Ability to offer suggestions for operational improvements

Physical Requirements
· Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
· Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work environment
SHRM does operate under a hybrid work schedule and will require you to be in SHRM’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays will be working remotely.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
